Making light work

This Lotus Elan belongs to a regular customer of ours and it’s in to workshop for a light overhaul. This means an unleaded conversion for the cylinder head, carb rebuild, new timing chain, water pump, a bit of suspension work and some detailing.

By ‘light overhaul’, however, we also mean the pop-up lamps. These, as with many Elans, are temperamental – so we’ve fitted an electric motor headlamp lift kit. Check out the video on social media.
