Fast road Jag

Here’s a snapshot of a much bigger overhaul we’re working on for a customer’s beautiful Mk2 Jaguar 3.8 – an iconic fast saloon that wasn’t exactly firing on all cylinders (metaphorically at least) when it first turned up at the workshop.

As part of a complete overhaul of the car that reaches well beyond just engine work, we’ve carried out a full engine rebuild to fast road specification, including a carburettor upgrade to larger HD8 SUs. This meant we could dispense with the AED unit in favour of a much more reliable manual choke – a conversion we’ve carried out on many Jaguars including XJ6s.
